The girl rolls her eyes, and looks completely unashamed of the fact she had her phone out in class. Derek knows Finstock would have stepped on it.
“And you,” he points at the second girl, taller and with eyes that meet Derek’s coolly. “You can’t throw anything worth half a damn. And what are you,” he points at the boy, trying not to look him in the eye, and failing. “A hundred and fifty pounds wet?”
The boy smirks at him, and Derek looks resolutely away. He’s now desperately trying not to picture him wet.

"I asked Miss Edwina to pretend to be the true diamond of this season and asked her and Lord Bridgerton to feign to be engaged, only for them to break off their engagement right here. Right before the wedding, in front of everyone.” The Queen told, gazing all firmly.
There was a collective gasp from the crowd.
Edwina and Lord Bridgerton looked at each other in shock.
"You see, I wanted to catch Lady Whistledown.” The Queen continued on, in an imperative tone. "I wanted to see who would run away instead of staying during such a scandal, but either she is none of you, or she is smarter than I'd imagined. But I've realized that this doesn't matter… “
The Queen seemed to be defying anyone to contradict her.
While Kate became more and more stunned, a whirlwind of emotions swept through her. She hadn't wanted any of this when she revealed everything to the Queen.
“You are free to enjoy the festivities, of course. I will see you all at my next ball, which it will be when we will celebrate the real diamond of this season, Miss Sharma.” The Queen announced, bringing Kate forward. '

It wasn't his fault that he ended up eavesdropping on a gorgeous podcaster and her sister on the plane, they were just that loud.

“I would have never courted Miss Edwina.” He confessed, voice choked with honesty and desperation, her big eyes went to his and she seemed taken aback. As she opened her mouth to question him, the ground started to move and things around them startled falling from the shelves. Anthony moved closer to Kate and gathered her in his arms, trying to protect her and before he could ask her if she felt like something changed, he blinked and the earth stopped moving, but most importantly, he wasn’t in a closet on his wedding day anymore.
