But still, he suddenly began touching you and you let him, your silence only encouraging him to do more things to you. Choso was a very strange man.
He made you uneasy. It wasn’t his appearance, per se, that made your skin crawl. Sorcerers were known for being eccentric, and you’ve met many bizarre looking people over the years. It was that from the moment you met him, his eyes have been on you constantly.

“Are all of your siblings sorcerers?” you ask. “My sister isn’t. I’m the only one in my family who can see curses.”
It takes him a moment to answer.
“We are half-human, half-cursed spirits.”
You put the pieces together. Nine brothers, half-human, half-cursed. Choso is one of the infamous cursed womb death paintings.
His dark eyes bore into yours, pinning you in place. There is something heavy in his expression.
“Do you want to exorcize me now?” he asks. The question is loaded.
“Of course not,” you respond easily. To do so would be murder.
“Why not?”
“Because you’re human.”
“Half-human,” he corrects.
You smile gently. “That’s more than enough.”
Alternatively, during the Shibuya Incident, a Special Grade Object traps you and Choso in a liminal realm. As you navigate this strange space together, you fall into something that looks a lot like love.

He tilts his head slightly in your direction and shakes his head in response.
