The weirdest thing is that he wakes up next to her, because Gabrielle doesn't do that. It’s rule #2 in her Book Of (Sex) Life Rules. Number 1 is "don’t sleep with the same guy twice" (as in, you can fuck him twice but only if that happens in the same night) and number 2 is "don’t stay overnight and don’t let anyone stay overnight". Sam wonders whether he’ll get a cookie for being special.
