Summary
All Kirishima can see is the shine of the stars against the night sky, and the hint of Bakugou’s moonlight glow in his periphery. No streetlights or buildings, not even any trees to give him a sense of grounding. It makes his weight hang suspended somewhere high in his chest, his blood slowly churning toward his head, the cool, ticklish texture of overgrown grass in his fists his only anchor to the world.
He can see why Bakugou likes it.
He has no gauge of how long they lie there like that, severed from everything but the two of them and the yawning impassiveness of the sky. To be brought back, all he has to do is sit up and see their dorm over the hill, but for now, UA feels lightyears away.
Eventually, though, his fears seek him out, even in this detached, safe world.

Bokuto opens his mouth, eyes already full of that dangerous excited spark, but he stops before he says anything. His cheeks turn pink. “I don’t know,” he says weakly.
Akaashi fights a smile. “Yes, you do,” he challenges. “What is it?”
Bokuto glances up at Akaashi and smiles hesitantly, rubbing a hand over the back of his neck. “I was gonna say we should play volleyball,” he admits. He laughs at himself, stilted. While Akaashi is usually glad anytime Bokuto shows some self-awareness, this awkward doubt makes him grateful for every easy smile and cocky I’m the best he gets. It makes him glad he can tear that discomfort from his face. Bokuto belongs to happiness, to laughter and warmth.

Merlin was technically banished, but everybody knew he wasn’t really gone. Sometimes, the cooks would leave out spare food only to find their shelves fully restocked the next day. Gwaine would leave out plans to prank the other knights and they would be carried out within the hour. Arthur would turn a blind eye to the way familiar blue eyes twinkled at him from underneath the hood of a cloak, or ignore the whispers that said the stocks were haunted.

Merlin’s banned but like, kind of just ignores that, and nobody else can do anything about it? Honestly it has such a canon feel to it that I could really see it being how they dealt with the consequences of the reveal. Also Gwen and Gwaine (while minor) are perfect.

No I’ve never seen a literal minute of Teen Wolf. Yes I devoured this whole series in one night. There is something so fun about the kind of deranged that comes from “welp the last world I was in got fucked in the ass and everybody died, so it’s not like I could do WORSE by meddling a shit ton in this one!” Anyway, Stiles is scary, but in an “id die a thousand deaths to protect my ppl (or wolves)” kind of way, Scott is a precious bean, and weirdly enough, DEREK is ALSO a precious bean.
