Summary
After being thrown into the hero business and very quickly becoming tired of its politics, X only has three main goals:
to keep his identity hidden, to stay as far away from the commission and the agencies as possible and to hopefully lose the title of X by the next term. Then he can finally return to his wonderfully predictable life and someone else can try to fix this corrupted system.
Unfortunately for him, fate is an asshole who loves throwing curveballs at him and for some inexplicable reason, the hero that is sunshine incarnate seems hellbent on worming his way into X’s life.
At least he buys him snacks.
or: local cryptid gets domesticated via food and sugary drinks. This may save the world.

L knows that Light Yagami is guilty. And he is forced to accept that he will never be able to prove it.
So, just this once, he decides to break his principles and go above the law. He kidnaps Light and takes him to Wammy's house.
He's sure that having the kids interact with a real-life mass murderer will be a very educational experience indeed.
Or: Light is Kira, L is sick of how easily manipulated the police are, and he secretly wants to see what will happen if he forces Light into a domestic situation with children just as intelligent as he is.

Summary
Getting used to Hermitcraft had already been hard enough. Grian has only been part of the group for a couple months, but he was already infatuated with the chaos. Hell, he embraces it. It's been years (after the loss of his family, his old smp, his humanity), and he's eager to make new friends. Hermitcraft accepts him with open arms, and he fits right in - no surprise to anyone.
But then things get harder. Not pranks weird, either. (Weird in an inability to sleep, a constant aching in his back, a longing for anyone nearby all times of the day, and seriously, why does Grian keep stealing clothes?!)

It’s been a few months since the events of the Gray Man, and instead of getting killed, Lloyd Hansen managed to slip away. They still pinned the whole mess on though. Made him pretty angry. And sure, he could focus that anger on Suzanne and Carmichael and a million other unreachable targets, but why do that when he already had such an easy target? Sierra Six is the only person that’s ever been able to beat him at anything, and Lloyd, well, let’s just say he’d like to return the favor a thousand times over.
