Summary
There is blood on the floor.
In front of you, a man screams. It’s a deeply unpleasant sound, raspy and hoarse, and several around you wrinkle their nose, so you wrinkle your nose too.
Dirty. Filth. Worthless. You hear these words tossed around casually, and you can’t help but agree – after all, this man had been picked for a reason. The worst of the worst, an abuser who beat his child for being different. He does not understand the gift he was blessed with, and so he must be punished.
You do not ask what happened to the child, after this man was taken. You allow your rage to overwhelm you, and your hand twitches with the intent to harm-tear-shred. Red eyes flow languidly over all gathered, and you see a flash of pleasure when they meet yours. You raise your head, proud that you are what he wants.
In front of you, the blood keeps pooling.
