Summary
In Double Life soulmates were able to feel every sensation their other half felt. For those with different body plans this lead to phantom sensations of limbs they didn't have. Somehow, even after the games, if Tango thinks hard enough about it, he can still feel Jimmy’s wings, even worlds apart. He tries not to worry about it. A trip through the rift confirms they are still connected. A confrontation with Grian confirms it's not his fault. Even outside Double Life Jimmy and Tango are meant to be. Tango's not sure how he feels about that; historically death games haven't been great places for healthy relationships to start.

Summary
Two years ago Elfking Emperor Scott Smajor and his husband-to-be were assassinated at the altar, kicking off a long and bloody war between the Red King of the north and the Sand Kingdom to the south. Tango has done everything he can to avoid conscription and wait out the war on his ranch, filling his time with invention in the hopes to one day fly away from it all.
As the front line creeps closer and closer every day, Tango soon finds the rumors of Prince Consort Jimmy Solidarity’s death were greatly exaggerated. Now the two must venture west to the bombed out old capital of Rivendell to seek the key to the avian homelands, and the terrifying weapons hidden there, before Kings Scar and Grian can beat them to it.

Summary
Tango expects it, prepares for an axe in his back. Logically, Bdubs has no reason to do it, but when has Bdubs ever made sense? Making sense would be telling the team that he was the boogey, asking them to get him a kill. And everyone knows how that went. So he waits, anticipates it, so that maybe he could at least block it and survive.
It never happens. The wind charge hits Bdubs, and he dies.
or, Tango kills Bdubs. He doesn't know how to feel about it.
