“KFFSHIK-” Tango’s entire form goes lightning-jagged. He swirls on his heel, throwing both arms forward in a big “Eyyyy! You’re awake!”
Is it way too obvious what he and Ren were getting up to? Tango tries to swat the fire burning extra high on the tip of his tail. Impulse, who’s sitting up in the dirt, tilts his head to one side. Unblinking. Geez, dude… Get a hobby. The black horns curling from his head look like they could seriously stab a guy in the stomach and toss him at a wall with a bang.
“Are… you leaving?”
“No, we’re not- we’re not!”
Pixels Tango is a blaze who patrols his turf before dawn every day. Pixels Impulse is a trauma survivor the whole server knows can’t be left alone to sleep. Pixels Ren, despite being suddenly un-domesticated, remains as cuddly as can be. Together, they are three guys with awkward cuddles and not enough bread.
OR, You’re laughing. Three of Tango’s exes and some beast from the swamp formed a team against him and you’re laughing.

“This guy you’ve been sneaking out to meet! I mean, c’mon, three months and you haven’t even introduced us? What kind of boyfriend are you?”
“I mean, it’s not really like that-”
“Oh, I see… So is it like a friends with benefits thing then or-”
“Tango!” He cried, mortified, now fully facing him on the bed. “No! It’s not that.”
“Then what?" The man asked, "-What is it Zed? What is it that you’re so terrified of telling me?!”

Tango is a blaze/avian hybrid.
His mother was a blaze hybrid and his father an avian.
When Tango was born, people assumed he was just a blaze hybrid.
His wings never came in, no feathers appeared/grew anywhere on his body to speak of, he just had his father’s bird like instincts (smushed together with his mom’s of course) and vocalizations.
Tango is what is called a false hybrid [an hybrid who does not have physical attributes of their hybrid nature, instead only having the internal attributes (instincts and sometimes vocalizations)].
He also decided not to tell anyone this information, not because he did not trust them or something.
Far from it.
He never told anyone because he thought it was not that important to tell.

Summary
Burnout was something Tango was very well acquainted with. The mental fatigue and bone-deep exhaustion were probably his oldest friends. His entire life was a cycle of latching onto a new project, putting his everything in it for months, running himself to the ground, and then picking himself up and doing it all over again.
Tango wasn’t stupid, he knew blaze body language. He was pushing himself past his limits, and it was showing. Any hybrid would take one look at him and see what he really was: an absolute disaster, exhausted and stretched to his breaking point.

He’d barely managed to make it out of the ballroom unscathed; all things considered, this wasn’t much better. Tango had been known to make a few seedy deals here and there, especially with the fae, but it had never backfired on him so spectacularly before. He almost considered himself lucky that the guard dogs hadn’t been sent after him; Scar and Joel were renowned for their bloodlust. It was equally as likely that they’d tear him apart and eat him as much as it was that they’d ruin him with pleasure.
Of course, he was only almost lucky.
It was the Queen of Shadows herself in pursuit of him.
Or: Tango should know better than to mess with Lizzie, fae queen, but he never claimed to be smart.

Tango was used to being careful around flammable things.
It came with the territory of being a blaze hybrid.
Any high emotions could make his hair or tail tuft spark, and that is bad.
When he was eight, he lost control of his emotions.
He was over a friend's house and caught their bedroom curtains on fire.
Thankfully, he and his friend were able to put the flames out, but Tango was not allowed to go over his house again.
Tango rarely went over friends' houses. Maybe once a year, or less.
At home Tango was safer, since his mom had the same trouble, almost everything in the house was flame retardant.
Tango took these precautions into his own life when he moved out.
Couch, curtains, blankets, bed sheets, pajamas, all flame proof.
Sure most of his clothes are too, but he still has a few that aren't, but most are.
He still rarely went over friends' houses to hang out (even as an adult).
That was until he met his boyfriend Skizz, then his other boyfriend, Jimmy.
They are wonderful.

This beautiful girl is going to quickly realize that Tango is in-fact, not a Sabrina Carpenter fan, and has also taken the first spot in line. Then she’s probably going to hate her forever and probably kick her out of said line. Tango cannot have that happening. So… Tango does what any other sane person would do in this situation.
