Or Richie uses study as a coping mechanism after that summer but decides that because he's acing all of his subjects he doesn't need to attend school. As a punishment, his parents send him to Hawkins, Indiana for the summer. He had thought it would be the most boring summer of his life without his friends or the love of his life Eddie Kaspbrak there to keep his mind away from the terrible things they'd seen.

“What do you think,” Shouto slams Katsuki into the brick, fingers snatching at the fabric of his suit. He gets close, gets real fucking close and whispers into the filthy line of Katsuki’s jaw. “The other Heroes would say if they caught us like this?”
Katsuki grits his teeth. “Like what. Me getting ready to knock your teeth in?”
“My hand in your pants and you whining like a bitch is more of what I was referring to, actually.” Shouto presses his lips to Katsuki’s neck again and again, snatching at the sensitive patches of skin between his teeth, hard enough to tug a hiss from him. “But sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night, sweetheart.”

(It’s just quiet moments that get him. Because his quiet moments are when Shouto would be the loudest. And the quiet doesn’t sit right with Katsuki anymore. Not without the unease of Shouto’s typical eerie humming to break it.)
