Natasha did the same as she crossed her own arms and looked at him. "Well how do you know him?"
"Because he was my best friend before I saw him-" Steve stopped short, " I thought I saw him die. In World War II."
Any sad look fell from her face, replaced with realization "Oh my god." She looked a little more embarrassed, something that no one ever saw. Natasha Romanoff wasn't a woman who got flustered. Her hand ran through her hair as she closed her eyes. "Let's just uh- let's just say I knew him-"
"Nat-"
"I knew him in the Red Room. He trained Widows." She finally said as she tapped her foot, heal clicking.
"He trained you? Nat, that's not that bad-"
Nat cut him off, "Bucky and I were..." She gestured out with her hands.
"...I don't get it."
"Oh my god, Steve. Come on." Nat said exasperated.
"I don't get it- I"

The smoke has cleared, the dead are back to life thanks to Nagato, and a new dawn breaks over Konoha. Naruto Uzumaki, the once-ostracized prankster, stands bathed in the jubilant cheers of the villagers he just saved. They hoist him high, a sea of smiles and gratitude, celebrating his incredible victory over Pain. He made Kakashi-sensei proud, he made Iruka-sensei weep with joy, and he is, finally, their undisputed hero.
Yet, as the shouts of "Naruto! Naruto! Naruto!" ring in his ears, a strange, cold knot tightens in his gut. He maintains a bright, unwavering smile, waving and laughing, but inside, a dissonant chord is struck.
"Why... why do I feel like this?" he thinks, the volume of the cheers making his internal voice echo.
"...I did it. I saved everyone. They're happy. I should be happy. "
