“That’ll scar.” Han stood behind him, nervously. He’d always been nervous around him, first, because he was a baby, and Han didn’t understand babies, and then, because he had the Force, and Han didn’t understand the Force. “Girls like scars.”
“It’s not like it matters.” Ben looked out at the thousands of spires. “I’m going to be a Jedi.”
Han grunted in sympathy, and then sat next to him, swinging his legs off the side of the tower. The urge to feel alive, to take risks and taste danger – that was what he’d inherited from his father. “Heard you got off the hook.”
“Not exactly. Community service.”
“Better than a detention block.” Han leaned back on his hands.
Ben scoffed. “It’s asinine.”
His father shifted, looking up at the stars, through the hazy, translucent atmosphere of Hosnian Prime. “What do they have you doing? Picking up orbit pollution, or something?”
“Worse.” Ben snorted. “Teaching orphans to read and write Basic. On Jakku.”
Han winced. “Only slightly better than a detention block.”

*THIS FIC IS GETTING FINISHED, CURRENTLY ON HIATUS*
**spoilers**
I can't stop thinking about Reylo. I am very excited/scared/ohboi for the future of this couple. I'd like to think they are end game, but who knows, I am trying to be cautiously optimistic so my heart doesn’t get crushed.
This started off as a fever dream one shot of what would happen after Kylo had been bested by Luke and rejected by Rey so in a moment of desperation and sadness he reached out to Rey and kissed her. Now I see a full story. This will be written in canon about potential things that could happen in Episode 9.
There will be angst, there will be a happy ending because I can’t bear to have anything else for these characters that I love so much. In our world Kylo Ren would not get a happy ending, but Star Wars is not our world. It is fantasy. And in fantasy actions are big and emotions are high. Murderers and despots get redeemed and loved by good people.
Later there will be more mature content.

Summary
This work arose from two mirrored one-shots I wrote on Tumblr, one from Rey's perspective, and one from Kylo/Ben's. Then I started getting feedback, and now it's become a full-fledged fic.
Several months have passed since the Battle of Crait, and Rey of Jakku and Supreme Leader Kylo Ren have continued to haunt each other, appearing at random to each other throughout their days and nights. But the connection is unstable, and longing and loneliness start to overwhelm other concerns.
