“Yes, I do, actually.” Gi-hun smiles, ignoring the almost sad heavy gaze Sang-woo is giving him, “Don’t look at me like that! You can survive a few days without me!”
“Well, the kids certainly can!” Mrs. Seong yelled from the outside, opening the door to glare at the business major. Cheol and Ga-yeong took it upon themselves to wait outside the car, chit-chatting along, “Sang-woo, man-up. You can live without Gi-hun for two weeks.”

“A… ring.” Sae-byeok muses, staring at her brother as he holds the jewelry like it was the last of its kind.
“Well, yes-” Cheol says, throwing his hands around as if he was frustrated his older sister couldn't get the severity of the situation, “But it’s a wedding ring.”
The girl puts her head on her fist as she drums her hands on his wooden desk, “I thought they were already married- well, in everything but papers,”
Cheol turns to look at her, eyes wide and hands up in the air as he yells out, “That’s what I thought too!”
“So obviously we were wrong.”
“Obviously.”

Sae-byeok remembers the first time she met Gi-hun. She remembers pickpocketing him out of his money. She remembers seeing him again with his husband in anything but papers, pleading her not to let it out that he was out gambling again, telling her she can forget the stolen money if she does. She did anyway and got him in trouble.
