Jack shrugs. “It’s what I’ve got. Prosthetist’s fixing the leg.”
Her eyes narrow. “You wouldn’t let a patient go home with this, I know you.”
“I’m not a patient,” He mutters, logging into the portal and tuning her out.
She doesn’t let him. “You’re a patient right now,” She shoots back. “My patient.”
(Or, Jack’s prosthetic breaks and he needs a better wheelchair, a custom. Robby — the ATP/PT, fits him for one).

Jack opens and closes his mouth. “If we got that far. Some of them backpedaled once they saw what I was working with. It’s not in my bio, you know. Wasn’t.”
Robby growls and goes back in. "Fucking assholes,” he says. “I’m going to spend every day from now on showing you what you should’ve been getting. What you deserved all that time."
