“Well, how does he know you love him?”
Neil scoffed. Love was such a trivial word. Meant for greeting cards and hallmark movies. A platitude to round out an apology, or to spice up a declarative speech. It was nothing. His and Andrew's relationship was beyond such trivial and mundane classifications such as love or no love, but on some level, Neil knew it was also not inaccurate. He wouldn't admit that though, how embarrassing.

He put a few pieces of popcorn in his mouth absentmindedly, not tearing his eyes away from the screen in front of him. He leaned forward, pulling on the blanket draped across them both, taking in the scene change with rapturous attention.
