“Little lamb,” He speaks, and his tone is so mocking, honeyed sweet and saccharine, that you almost have the gall to punch him. “You're trembling like a little leaf.”
If you were any less terrified, you'd have scoffed, and thanked him for stating the obvious. Instead, your only response is another wince away from him, your lip trembling. Your heart is beating so hard in your ears you can barely even make out his words, but you persist anyways.
“Don't be afraid to cry,” He coos, but you can tell he's just making fun of you. He takes a breath from a mouth he doesn't have, and leans in close, getting right up in your personal space. “You have greater things to be afraid of.”
OR; A 1x1x1x1 x reader fanfiction written for my mooties. No use of Y/N, or terms related to it. Reader is gender-neutral and no gender-specific terms are used to describe them, nor are their features intensely described.

It had large wings, different shades of purple feathers adorning them, the body matching. Bioluminescent markings shone green on both the wood and underbelly of the creature. It had a beak, with cold, analyzing blue eyes.
And the creature was staring right at her."

“Awh, come on, mom! Don’t tell me you’re too old to play Tag!” Moss jokes, giving his mom this victorious smile that could bright out the darkest of days. “I’m right here! Come get me!” They tease, clapping their hands on their thighs as if Ocie was some dog.
Ocie chuckles and gives a roll of her eyes, then dashed forward towards her child. She felt much more free now, the height of this hill forgotten, everything other than her child forgotten, really.
She reaches her hand out, getting ready to tag Moss- when he suddenly dodges to the side. They let out a barked laugh, but it fades into the background as Ocie begins to stumble. She can see the edge of the hill, it’s so close and she might- no, no, no, no, no-
OR; Ocie gets a panic attack and then gets comforted by Moss (and Jerry).

"It's weird to think you've known me for so long," Kipo admitted. "My dad- he never really told me about the before stuff. He didn't even tell me I was part Mute. I just thought I had some weird skin condition."
Scarlemagne's smile turned into a bit of a sneer. "Lio always did love an ignorant test subject." Kipo flinched, and he gently lifted her chin. "Ah, don't fret, baby sister. Now you know the truth. Now we can be the family we were always meant to be."
