Feng Xin felt Xie Lian move, a simple turn of his head to look at him. ‘Can I ask you a question, Feng Xin?’ he asked in a whisper, as though making too much noise would destroy this little sanctuary.
Bracing himself, he hummed an assent. Xie Lian would be gentle with his questions, but Feng Xin didn’t know how to be gentle with his answers.
‘Do you…think that alphas and omegas have to pair up?’
He turned to meet Xie Lian’s gaze with a questioning hum.
‘I just mean…do you think it’s possible for two omegas to pair up instead? If they like each other, I mean.’
Feng Xin and Mu Qing are both alphas. They have known this about each other since they were kids. But when their little pack of three suffers a sudden shift in dynamics, this pure and simple fact about each other starts to grow complicated.

He shifts around slightly, dark, angled wings hovering up in the air and pointing towards the ceiling and George’s eyes follow them when they stretch out behind Dream as he stands again.
He stays by the side of his bed, George sitting still and he’s far too poised when he asks, “May I have a kiss?”

He rubs his eyes as he opens the app, strained from hours spent editing. He blinks hard once before clicking the purple box.
Instantly, he feels like he’s choking.
He’s greeted with a video of George's dick.

He’ll tell anyone who will listen, to the point where his friends have put rules in place against any mentions of the roommate when they’re hanging out. But they just don’t get it.
Many would attribute the problem to them both being alphas. It was a fluke in the housing system that they even got paired together in the first place, but George knows that the problem goes beyond that, beyond any stupid secondary gender bullshit.

“Oh? You're a busy man?” Dream wondered. “What you got going on?”
“Wouldn't you like to know.”
Dream did. He was curious what prevented George from talking to him for a little longer. He just couldn't show that. So he put on the thickest sarcastic tone he could muster. “Yeah, I'm so invested in your life, George.”
“Bet you are,” George said blankly. “I'm just eating right now before I go out and meet friends. We're going bowling.”
Against Dream's better judgment there was a tinge of jealousy in his chest. And it made little sense, because George wasn't his friend. But their conversation would be cut short because George had actual friends to meet and most likely, Dream wouldn't get to speak to him another time. He couldn't pick George once more and pretend it wasn't on purpose without every sane person seeing right through the lie.
Gosh, what an idiot he was. He barely even knew the guy, and here he was, bitterly jealous of friends whose names he didn't even know.
OR
Dream hosts a Space and lets a fan speak who turns out to be kind of fun to talk to, and Dream has to fight every instinct in his body so he won't get too attached.

George stared at the image in the mirror and thought he looked nothing like himself. He had to take a few steps back—out of curiosity—to actually see the full costume in the reflection. And he figured he had won the bet, because he did look stupid.
George unlocked the door, gathered all his courage and tried to keep the colour off his face, then pushed it open. Dream sat on the bed and initially let out an amused huff when George revealed himself. Then his brows rose on his forehead and his smile faded.
His face burned. Awkwardly, he lifted his arms off his body and let them fall back, like a shitty 'Ta-dah!' He would've done a sarcastic spin had his legs not been goo. “See? Stupid.”
“Uh-huh,” Dream let out, still wide-eyed and gaping, repeatedly taking in the view before him. He sat up straighter and blinked the daze away, clearing his throat. “Well, not the word I'd use, but...”
George scowled. “What word would you use?”
OR
They have a bet this Halloween: George is certain he’ll look stupid in one of those skimpy costumes, and Dream is certain it can’t be that bad. When they put it to the test, the results are not quite as expected.

Summary
It was just Dream and Sapnap when the apocalypse began, when the entire country flipped upside down and they were thrown into a life of killing and surviving. Dream would do anything for his best friend, his brother. He wasn't about to let some random, somewhat attractive guy on the brink of death risk their chances of survival. Day 7: Soulmate AU and Weapons
"Who's that?" Dream heard Sapnap ask from the driver's seat.
"Bad, Sap, meet Goggles," Dream sighed. "World-class sniper, asshole criminal, and my soulmate. Apparently."
"What?" Dream heard his two teammates exclaim.
"You still have me on your file as codename Goggles?" George snickered. "Tell me you can't hunt down a sniper without telling me you can't hunt down a sniper," George mumbled sarcastically.
"Yeah okay," Dream rolled his eyes before loading his gun and shooting it in George's direction again.
The rules were very easy. Simply put, soulmates are not able to physically harm each other. Not fatally anyway. No punching, no hitting, no weapons as well including knives, guns, not even a baseball bat. Rules are still unclear about second-hand injuries like drowning and tripping, you know, convenient accidents.
Most of the time, this works out very well for people. You wouldn't want to fatally harm your soulmates.
But then again, most people weren't snipers whose soulmates are special agents that are out to get them.
