Sandrock is dying.
That is what's been pounded in Heidi's head since her time at university. But she's a Sandrocker and Heidi won't go down without a fight which is why she's so driven to get her Road to Portia project off the ground. But after so many setbacks and so many people fleeing in droves, her hope dwindles and she fears what everyone outside has said is true: There's no saving her home. Enter Nico, the crass Builder from Highwind with a heart of gold, who pledges to not only to help build up Sandrock but also promises Heidi to help her complete her dream project.
But there are machinations brewing behind the scenes that threaten the city's stability. And Nico has her own demons to deal with.
Will Sandrock weather the oncoming storm or will it finally disappear beneath the shifting sands?

How about if the DB has this same habit and it drives everyone around her or him absolutely crazy. They try to get DB to stop, to see the light of reason; you can't just go around eating random powders, plants, and potions. DB sees nothing wrong with it and loves the surprise.
