The jujutsu world is a cruel one, Megumi knows that. It’s relentless and unforgiving and many don’t make it out of here alive. But a world without jujutsu? The possibility of trading that hell for an even worse one was something Megumi, even if he understood the intent, couldn’t fully accept as a good idea.
Maybe it was Tsumiki lingering in the back of his mind, or maybe it was just the shadow of his own morality, but Megumi decides that these circumstances were fated from the very beginning. Curses exist. Sorcerers exist. The evil that lingers in this world exists. But on the other hand, good people also exist. Goodness, in itself, also exists. And Yuji, though a sorcerer, is a good person— a mix of the two worlds that he supposed Geto once believed were at an infinite crossroad.
