Summary
Many people say that Will Graham has an empathy disorder, brought about by the abundance of mirror neurons of childhood never burned away.
What very few say, as very few know, is that those mirror neurons stayed in defense of a far darker thing, lurking about in the shadows of his skull. They helped him connect to others around him, a barrier to the evil inside, a balance with which to find himself.
And then Harry Potter went to die, and the horocrux was destroyed.
After that, the mirror neurons he'd never known he'd had were more of a pain than they were worth, honestly.

Gideon is speaking words his soul knows. Instead of moving to speak of Alana Bloom, however, he mentions Garret Jacob Hobbs. Will's life shatters to pieces as the waves rear up in response to the ferocity of lightning's strike, but warm hands lead him up and away to safety in the clouds of the storm.
He can hear the thunder of an oncoming storm, and it is soothing to know that the lightning will never leave him.

Summary
Hannibal watched in reverence as Will Graham ate the heart Hannibal had gifted him. Time did not matter - nor pain nor circumstance nor stinging wind. Hannibal watched until every last bite was devoured.
Will threw his head back and roared to the sky. ”I am Madness! Wild, Blasphemous, Raging, Senseless Insanity! The whisper of the night shall sleep no more!”
The wind screamed and the seas snarled.

Shadow wasn't certain what to expect from the people they were visiting next. If the imposing house straight from the pages of a southern gothic down on the disappearing coast of Florida was any indication, however, he thought this one might just leave him with a shiver down his spine.

Summary
“When shall you hold no further use of me?” Will questioned quietly. King Crawford stood by, ready with collar and chain. “When all the world is but blood - carpet to roll out in announcement of your majesty’s coming?”
“Speech becomes you not,” was the King’s harsh reply. He stepped onto the field, ready with yoke to bind his beast to burden.
“No,” Will agreed with an ease the summer’s wind would envy. “Only death becomes me.” He raised crimson hands in supplication of the dark moon. “I am in blood.” A cock of the head. A scenting of death. “So are you.”

Summary
"That kriffin' rumor was true," Bane spit out, glaring at Obi-Wan as he said it. "Of all the Jedi you could have killed, you had to choose Kenobi?"
"What rumor?" This whole situation was absurd, and he was fairly certain it had completely derailed his mission. At least if the poison he was doing his best to slow down was any indication. "And what's wrong with killing Kenobi?"
He liked to consider himself at least a minor nuisance for the various scoundrels he ran into. While he wouldn't expect celebrations at his death, he would think they'd at least be pleasantly satisfied that he was no longer around.
Bane's glare somehow got even darker. "Ohnaka went and got soft for the Jedi. And he's a right vengeful bastard when he wants to be."

Summary
There had been rumours about his and Caleb's sordid love affair since long before it was technically true. Essek was simply... playing into them a little, to help his defection go a little more smoothly. Rosohna would gossip about it for a few months, and then the rumour mill would move on, as it always does.
(it doesn't).Or: how Essek and Caleb accidentally inspired (at least) a few dozen smut novels.

Inspired by prompt: 'Peter is unmasked on live television, and everyone goes berserk—you've already heard this one but here's the twist—he's wide-eyed, staring into the camera, frightened, but not because of his own safety. The first thing that comes out of his mouth is, "Someone please, please protect my Aunt May." And the entirety of New York cries out simultaneously. Heroes and neighbours and fellow students rain down on the Parker house, ready to defend her.'

Summary
Spider-Man is a relatively new, controversial vigilante, and Johnny has a crush the size of the Empire Building. The Four - operating under the assumption that Spidey is an adult - do not approve.
“I just happen to think Spider-Man's cool,” Johnny says, matter-of-factly. “A hero can think another hero is cool without making it weird. I admire his aloofness. And his badass-ness.”
“His aloofness,” Ben repeats, chuckling into his mug of beer. It’s roughly the size of Johnny’s head. “Yeah, sure, I bet that’s all your admire, right?”
