Summary
Junior year. Max's dating Esme and trying to hold Abby together while Abby drinks vodka at school and falls apart in places no one names. Abby's secretly in love with Max, but nothing about that love is simple enough to save her. Esme slips out of view in ways that don’t look like leaving.
Max writes a play to make sense of what’s unraveling while Abby draws to survive it. In the art room, Marcus, Ginny, and Esme build a zine club for the things no one will say out loud. Through her art, Abby starts seeing Esme in ways she wasn’t ready for.
Rotating POV: Max, Esme, Abby. Poly endgame. Slow-burn sapphic. Mind the tags.
Book 1 optional: quick recap in notes.
Book 0 is a non-linear archive of the women who made them (full recap here).

A canon-divergent, post-Season 3 story about two queer girls learning to want each other without destroying themselves, and about the messy, intentional healing of their friends.

Summary
A queer, literary, character-driven universe about love, identity, and becoming.
At the center: Esme Delorme, newly arrived from Paris to a small Massachusetts town after a betrayal she can’t outrun. And Max Baker, whose messy, loyal heart is more dangerous than she realizes.
The main arc follows Esme and Max across a transformative year, from a summer of first love (book 1) to everything that comes after (book 2), but the series expands beyond them.
A story about wanting, staying, surviving, and choosing.

Summary
How the inherited trauma that is glossed over, passed down, and unresolved create the monsters in the twins' lives later.
Fair warning: The first two chapters are more Ellen centered and slower, chapter 3 and so on will be more twin centered!

Summary
He lets out a humourless laugh, head springing back up. ‘Don’t therapise me, kid. I hate that shit.’
‘I’m not—Jesus, Marcus. I’m here! I’m trying to talk to you. What the fuck has all your therapy been for if you think having a conversation deeper than the range of a teaspoon is me trying to therapise you?’
Or: Ginny once told Marcus she didn’t want to be like her parents. It turns out some things really are just in her blood.
