Summary
His last interaction with Cat Adams left Spencer with more than enough things to haunt him. Every second that he spent in that prison is burned into his brain, replaying every time he closes his eyes. He still needs to constantly remind himself that his mom is safe and sound in her new D.C. based psychiatric facility. The still unconfirmed but so fucking plausible chance that he was raped in mexico is always nagging at the edges of his mind. He really didnt need another thing to think about.
So, of course, because this is Dr. Spencer Reid we’re talking about, he gets a letter.
“Dear Spencie, I’m sure someone’s already told you that we lost our baby. Turns out throwing a pregnant woman against a wall isnt that healthy for the kid. But part of the blame is on me, i suppose. I should have known you wouldnt be a good father, because you never even tried to be one to you and poor Lila’s daughter…”

Summary
It's the middle of a hunt, Sam is missing, and Dean get caught by a Fed. Great. Just great. He doesnt have time to deal with this. So, he does the only logical thing he can. He kidnaps said Fed, ties him up in Rufus' cabin, and calls Cas to Fed-sit while he goes searching for his brother.
Needless to say, the situation brings up some unpleasant memories for one Spencer Reid.
