Summary
Majima sniffs and tilts his head. “I can behave myself, asshole. I got an easy nine month sentence, I’ll be outta here before ya even if you’re a perfect lil angel.”
Saejima wants to pull his hair out. He remembers he doesn’t even have hair to pull out, and it makes him irrationally angry. Of all the stupid horseshit for Majima to do, it had to be something catastrophic like this.
“And what the hell’s the clan doin’ with you gone, huh?”
“Same as they’re doin’ with you gone.” Majima levels a gaze that cuts right to Saejima’s core.
“I’m not—” He scrunches his face up as he tries to find the wording; ‘as important’ jumps to mind first, ‘good at that stuff’ follows, and ‘ready’ sits heavily on his tongue.
Saejima has once again found himself behind bars. His planned quiet penance is derailed when Majima decides enough is enough and throws himself in after him—things only get messier from there. The new circumstances will force them both to reckon with some conversations they've been avoiding and some heaping piles of emotional baggage they've both been lugging around for nearly three decades.

Majima narrows his eye, gears turning. Saejima’s prepared to kick his ass, if she needs to. She desperately hopes she doesn’t.
“Wait right there.”
Majima vanishes into the bowels of the apartment, and Saejima is left keyed up and antsy. Things could have gone worse, she supposes. She was hoping her kyoudai would have the guts to say something to her face if he had an issue, though.
Then Majima reappears, his snakeskin jacket swapped for a pink snakeskin bodycon and his carefully clipped haircut peeking out under a strident blonde wig. Saejima crosses her arms and waits for an explanation.

He toes at a bruise that’s forming at his hip, blossoming out of the waistband of his pants, not hard enough to injure him further, but hard enough that he knows it’s happening. Majima makes a sound, half growl, half moan.

This is the fic that got me into Kiryu/Majima! 🥰 It's got violence, it's got sex, it's got hardened criminals who are bad with feelings and sure having them anyway. It's totally enjoyable even if you barely know who these two are. What more could you want?
