Everything was going well, they had talked, cried, hugged and were doing better than ever. Or so they thought. It started small, honestly if they weren't spending so much time together it probably wouldn't have even raised any alarm. They are watching a movie one night, as they often do. When the girls finally decided to say something.

Zoey looked so genuine and so concerned and just so worried about Mira that she wanted to cry. Or scream. Or both.
She wanted to kiss the furrow between Zoey’s brows, pull her bottom lip out from the hold of her teeth, map a constellation across her freckles with her mouth and reassure her that no, Zoey, you could never hurt me, not even the gods could imagine a world where you could hurt me.
She doesn’t, though.

Rumi gave a few quick sniffs before a pleased rumble sounded throughout her body, causing Mira to press her thighs together.
“Mine.” She growled.
Zoey leaned down to Mira’s ear, and in her best impression of a wizened mentor, gave her some sage advice. “You’re alright, just remember your training.”
These fucking dorks.
OR
In an effort to try something new, Mira gets a little in over her head. But she's a hunter, so she should be fine, right?

Well, alright, maybe that was dramatic. Sure, she'd left with little warning, but there still was some. A short 10 minute conversation filled with yelling, screaming, cussing, and then she was gone. An uber. 3 suitcases, 2 eyes full of what Zoey remembered to be shame and pity, and one extremely broken family.
