“Of course you can! Who said you couldn’t?!”
“The doctor said—he said I don’t have a quirk.”
“That doesn’t mean you can’t be a hero!” Marinette doesn't mean to shout, but she believes it so strongly that it comes out a little too loud. “You don’t need a quirk to be a hero. We’re still going to be heroes together. We’re gonna save people with a smile, just like All Might!”
“You really think so?” Izuchan wipes at his face. More tears spill over but he’s smiling now. Marinette nods enthusiastically.
“I know so!” She smiles back at him. She has to reassure him, like All Might does. “We’re partners. Me, you, and Kacchan. We’re gonna be heroes. You don’t need a quirk to smile and help people.”

Lucifer’s feet rarely touched the ground when he was in their company. Riding on shoulders and backs, cradled against a chest, sat comfortably on a hip. He soaked up their infinite well of affection.

Summary
“Oh come on, Tommy, don’t look so worried.” Grian sees Tommy flinch when Dream drops an arm around his shoulders. The two women coo at Tommy’s apparent nerves. “You’re bound to make mistakes this week, it happens. That’s what I’m here for. I’m your friend, remember.”
“Right. Thanks, Dream.” The timer reaches zero and Grian still can’t look away from the kid. Sylvee ruffles his hair and pulls him along, and Grian can only watch. Something feels… off.
He must stay standing there too long, because Scar is suddenly pulling on his wrist and Grian remembers where he is. Grian smiles, following him over the bridge and into the Dome. It’s not the time to be worried about something other than the games. He needs to stay focused, for his team.

OR: Grian tries to mind his business, he really does. But something about the kid’s hunched shoulders and scared expression pushes him to keep a closer eye on him. As the games continue, Grian gets more and more concerned by what he sees.

or: George and his team have been hunting Dream. A manhunt AU with forbidden feelings, a country at war, and a prophecy that attracts the wrath of a tyrannical king. Can these blockmen free their country and stop them? (spoiler: yes, because i'm allergic to writing sad endings). They're going to need all the help they can get, and they'll find it in sometimes unexpected places.

Summary
Ranboo so desperately wishes this was just a nightmare he could wake himself up from, but the static that creeps up and around his senses is all too real. All too reminiscent of a time in his life he thought he left behind him.
His hold on the axe slackens before it falls away completely. The dull thud of his weapon hitting the ground is the last clear sound he hears before the static in his head grows to become overwhelming.
He stumbles forwards onto his knees at the intruder's feet, mind revolting violently as he loses control. His screams stay trapped within his skull as he feels his arm reach out to the hand extended to him against his will.
He almost wishes that he'd be taken under like all the times before, but something is different.
There's a purple hue to everything, a detail he's never remembered or found written down in his book. He's still seeing and processing and remembering.
Something is wrong.

From closer, it’s clear that Minho is about his age. He’s handsome— very much so— in an untouchable sort of way. Straight nose, sharp eyes, a defined cupid’s bow. He looks sculpted rather than born. Jisung might shrink under the weight of his presence if the situation were different.
Knowing that Minho is dying ruins the illusion of perfection.

Summary
Tommy knows his best friend isn't dead. The priestess, the villagers, and the hunters guild can say whatever they want, but Tommy knows Tubbo isn't really gone. If everyone else is going to give up on him, then Tommy will just have to work even harder to find him.
They say there are vampires in the forest outside the village, but it's the only other place Tubbo could be. At least the nice (but still weird) stranger in the ugly-as-sin bucket hat that showed up at the temple is willing to go with him.

"You don't have to kill me."
People don’t just survive drinking god’s blood. They don’t, but there’s not a chance in hell Phil could ever bring himself to ask his dearest friend to kill him. He couldn’t bear throwing the burden on Techno. So he will brace for the storm, no matter the terror of how much worse this is about to come, no matter how much longer it’ll be. He’ll likely be out of his mind in just an hour’s time, so there’s something to be thankful for. Maybe, if he’s lucky, he’ll be so far out of his mind he won’t even remember any of the pain at all when he draws his last breath.
“I promise you Phil, it was never in my plans to let you die.” Techno holds him close. “I can’t imagine living if I have to do it without you.” Phil feels something other than the poison wrapping itself around his heart. This is something darker, something possessive. He does nothing but let it coil around him, taking him further into the dark.

Summary
Winter has come early.
It’s a sign that the empire is breathing down their necks, though they don’t need the weather to remind them of that. War has been upon them for the better part of the year now, and already kingdoms have fallen like crops to a good harvest, and some not even to the casualties of war. The Sleeping empire are manipulators. Villains. Killers. They’ll do anything to stop the prophecy in its track, and the Temple knows this. Priests, Prophets and acolytes all band together in prayer to Prime, hoping for a miracle.
And that miracle came when the prophet told them of visions of an army. Chosen people for an army, people who have magic. This would be their rescue; this would be their gift from Prime. All they had to do was find the people, take the children growing wings, steal the people hiding their magic and hand them their weapons.

Tommy and Tubbo are two acolytes a part of the Temple of Prime. First, Tubbo starts growing horns, and then after Tommy starts growing wings. Manifesting would be a momentous time for any child... at any other time but now. It's wartime, and having wings and horns means having magic, and having magic means you're destined for war.
