Summary
It's been 10 years since Sonic last saw Shadow, and in that decade, life had not been kind. He's stumbling through adulthood with no sense of direction or purpose, crumbling under the existential dread of aging, and to top it off, is suffering through an exhausting divorce process. Just as his whole world seems to be collapsing around him, however, an old friend returns... And might just be the lifeline he didn't realise he needed.
Now Sonic is having to navigate adulthood, heartbreak, grief and whatever these new (or maybe old) feelings are for his ex-rival. The strangest part is that Shadow seems to be the stable, emotionally competent one. What he doesn't know is that shadow is hiding a secret of his own- Ten years of feelings that he thought he'd let go of threatening to return.
This is a future-set Sonadow slow -burn where Sonic and Shadow reconnect after a decade of no contact. A mix of hurt/comfort, slice-of-life, humour, drama, fluff and spice (eventually). Themes include grief, romance, friendship, aging panic, unconditional love/care, and a flipped dynamic- Sonic is the one falling apart, and Shadow is the one who’s already healed.

Summary
With Rouge joining Team Sonic to be closer to Knuckles and Omega being assigned to a new base for a promotion, Shadow is once again alone. He watches Sonic and his team from afar, conflicted. He works better alone, and yet … part of him yearns for their company, specifically that of his blue rival.
When the bodies of poisoned Mobians are found in increasing numbers, Shadow will have to work together with Team Sonic to uncover the culprit. But Shadow’s life is becoming increasingly tumultuous – Commander Tower is retiring, and his replacement seems to have the singular goal of making Shadow’s life a living hell. It’s a flip of a coin whether the circumstances bring Shadow closer to Sonic and his team, or drive him away forever.

Mobian presentation culture was weird.
They made a big deal out of it for some reason.Being raised by humans wasn't particularly helpful when it came to trying to understand his own species.
