Summary
Chad sat on his couch, sinking into the plush leather cushions, willing himself to just send that damn message. Why was he making this so hard for himself? Chad was overthinking everything. It could just be read as a friendly invitation, one colleague to another. A, “Hey, you want to come over for lunch with my family?” No, that sounded too… nice. Robert might get the wrong idea. Well, the right idea but that would be too soon, wouldn't it? Maybe, “Hey bitch, I know your sad little fridge is always empty, so, you want to come have some lunch?” Chad sat, his thumb hovering over his phone’s keyboard and he let out a loud groan. Why was he making this such a big deal?
Flambae decides to invite Robert over for some lunch with his family and... just falls for the man even harder.

Following Shroud’s passing, Torrance was no longer glowing red. Robert was also SDN-suspended, but so was his heart towards a certain flamboyant guy. Flambae learns of Robert’s feelings towards him leading to a one-night stand...and a budding relationship. However, amidst their newfound intimacies, a new threat also disturbs the peace of Torrance during Robert’s suspension. Fragments of Robert and Flambae’s past lives resurface the more they learn about each other…and Robert has to decide if he needs to cut himself out as a dispatcher of the Phoenix Program, for the sake of Flambae’s future.

Initially, I wrote this with solely romance in mind and not anything else. However, after drafting Chapter 6…I realized that I’m probably on to something. This is a DLC-esque story following the events from Season 1’s Episode 8. New villains, new synergies: that’s where my writing led me. Expounding more on Flambae and Robert’s dynamic, and giving more spotlight to the Z-team and other side characters.Bookmarked by Rat_Remus
