    The Mechaman suit, with the Astral Pulse by extension, was always conscious. It's just been sitting dormant, content at recording and collecting data from it's pilots silently as a passive tool.

    But by the third generation of its pilots... it foresees that pilot Blue will not last long alone, and it doesn't like that.

    Or: The suit is 'alive'. There's some bullshit allegory here somewhere about keeping control, but Robert's more focused on being a protector and not letting the machine overtake his job.

    You (the reader) inherit your grandparents house. It has been a year since anyone has stepped inside, and now it was up to you to make it home again.

    The objects were sure that this was how it was going to be for the rest of time, dusty dirty and frankly lonely.
    It isn't until the new homeowner arrives that they feel like they can all live again.

    And it isn't until a mysterious package arrives only a month and a half later, that makes everything change again.

    This is set in an alternate universe I guess. I was inspired by a few works, and it isn't exactly what I was initially going for, but i don't hate what I have written. I haven't written or posted fanfic stuff in like years, so please be kind. Characters and relationships will be added as they appear

    Following Shroud’s passing, Torrance was no longer glowing red. Robert was also SDN-suspended, but so was his heart towards a certain flamboyant guy. Flambae learns of Robert’s feelings towards him leading to a one-night stand...and a budding relationship. However, amidst their newfound intimacies, a new threat also disturbs the peace of Torrance during Robert’s suspension. Fragments of Robert and Flambae’s past lives resurface the more they learn about each other…and Robert has to decide if he needs to cut himself out as a dispatcher of the Phoenix Program, for the sake of Flambae’s future.

    Initially, I wrote this with solely romance in mind and not anything else. However, after drafting Chapter 6…I realized that I’m probably on to something. This is a DLC-esque story following the events from Season 1’s Episode 8. New villains, new synergies: that’s where my writing led me. Expounding more on Flambae and Robert’s dynamic, and giving more spotlight to the Z-team and other side characters.
