    Summary

    1. Write down the names of 10 characters.
    2. Write a fic of fifteen words or less for every prompt, (mine are actually 10-70 words) using the characters determined by the numbers. Do NOT read the prompts before you do step 1.

    Prompts are First Time, AU, Threesome, Hurt/Comfort, Baby fic, Dark, Death, Fantasy, Crack fic, Horror, and Angst.

    Each title states the prompt, characters, pairings and fandoms. Any warnings are in the chapter notes. Some pairings are obviously romantic, some are obviously not but most you can read either way.

    If one of these inspires you to actually write a longer piece you are welcome to do so as long as you let me know.

    The sun is not yet breaking over the horizon when they awaken, still running on the schedule of their previous time zone. It had been a hectic trip to the safehouse, scrambling to get there fast so they could make the most of their limited time off. 

    Owen wakes first, pinned to the bed by Curt’s sleep heavy limbs, his lover’s head buried in his neck as Curt gently snores. It’s rare for them to be able to relax in the morning, usually having to rush off to one mission or another. Owen luxuriates in their freedom, nestling into the bed and letting one hand travel up to run through Curt’s hair.

    OR: In the Summer of 1956, Owen and Curt cuddle, argue, and dance in the kitchen of Ms. Mega's safehouse.

    Owen kneels beside Curt to hide an involuntary swallow. He’s been this close to Mega before, of course, but tonight is different. Curt’s need, his vulnerability, they flatten the barrier of professionalism that has always stood between him and his partner, protecting Owen from doing something incredibly stupid.

    Something like moving a little closer so his thigh brushes Curt’s shin.

    Something like pulling the hem of Curt’s t-shirt up to reveal the skin just above his hip, leaving a vivid smear of scarlet across the smooth, pale flesh.

    Owen Carvour knows better than to let himself think too hard about how hot his partner is. He's doing a pretty good job of it, too, right up until Curt knocks on his hotel door at 11 PM with a gash in his side and a favor to ask: Can Carvour pretty please stitch him up?

    It has to be a joke, right? There's no way Agent Curt Mega of the American Secret Service gets faint at the sight of his own blood.

    There's no way Owen needs to touch his extremely attractive partner repeatedly as he lies on Owen's bed with his shirt off, right?

    Right?

    But this would be where they part. On the field where their peers had shot, bled, and fought. They allowed themselves the time to mourn, to sit in each other's accepting company, for they knew not what come in the future.

    "Alright, dear," Owen says, quieter now. "It's a bad one, is it?"

    Curt doesn't speak, which is its own form of an answer.

    "That's alright, love. That's just fine. We'll just stay in today, shall we? We don't even need to leave the bed, if you don't want to. We'll have a quiet day in, just the two of us. We've been needing one of those, haven't we?"

    Owen says it with a practiced certainty, but in reality, he's being as careful as he can. Normally, he'd push a bit more to at least get Curt downstairs, but if he won't even talk right now, it's a lost cause. He can already imagine what a nightmare getting him to eat a few bites of a lunch is going to be. Still, Owen makes sure to say 'we' when talking, knowing that even if he's not feeling his best, Curt will hear the message loud and clear: You don't have to get out of bed, but I'm staying. This is non-negotiable. I am not leaving you alone like this.

     

    Or, Curt experiences a depressive episode, and Owen does his best to help.
