Nolan Sanchez doesn't know what he wants.
Well, that isn't completely true. It's just that all his greatest desires are small, humble things. He wants to write a musical with his friends. He wants to go get ice cream this Saturday. He wants to go to Pasqualli's and get dinner. He wants to go to college and make something of himself. He wants to get out of this god forsaken town.
There's just one small problem.
When given the choice between writing a musical themselves or getting an eldritch entity to help write the music, Nolan's friends apparently pick the latter. This wouldn't be so much of a problem if the eldritch entity in question wasn't Pokotho, the Singular Voice, who both LOVES musicals and expects nothing but perfection. As the team's musical director, Nolan's already under a lot of pressure, so he hopes nothing else suddenly springs up to further deter him. The fate of Sycamore High's potential theater program rests upon his shoulders, after all.
And then he meets Maxwell Jägerman, and everything falls to shit.

She spends most of her time travelling across the country in her battered truck, collecting information and memories to build a firm foundation for her thoughts, feelings, and overall view of reality.
When she goes to Hatchetfield with a simple idea to film and make a video about the local theme park that has closed down, it seems no different from any other part of her fractured lifestyle. That is, until the most playful but sadistic Lord in Black decides to take a little too much interest in the town's new visitor, dropping her into an impossible challenge, and it only gets worse from there.
Reader beware, you'll want to get off Blinky’s wild ride because the author sure did, all while writing this drunk and editing it with a hangover. -

When asked about his coworker, Ella, Paul Matthews’ first question would be: who? They’d worked in different office suites within CCRP’s labyrinthian construction and it wasn’t like anybody was still talking about The Ashmore Foundation, not-so-recently acquired anymore, and the not-so-mysterious death of its former CEO. They’d shared an elevator only once and not said a word to each other.
Neither she nor Thad had much to do with the big picture stuff going on. They were more of a...subplot at the end of the world. A b-side that didn’t merit much discussion, so the story goes.
