Summary
After a long day of pretending, that he was still one of the Rogues, that he didn’t mind when Steve stood too close and touched him too liberally, James’ nerves are frayed and he desperately needs to see Tony again, but the last thing he wants to be is a burden. Tony is already so busy and adding their secret relationship and James’ neediness right on top is already too much.
His resolve breaks however and he shows up in the lab, worried he'll be turned away, but as always, Tony is ready to catch him. As always, Tony's steady love and his gentle touch sets James’ world to rights once again.

We all have soulmates, and every soulmate pair shares an animal guide. The Guide is there to lead you to your One True Love, and they represent the aspects of the psyche that you both share. They appear when you're about to meet your soulmate, and often materialize in moments of great personal crisis, offering hope and support. There are stories upon stories about how someone's Guide appeared to lead them to their One True, or how the barest glimpse of their Guide eased their hearts and gave them hope in the midst of despair. The newly-rescued almost always attribute their Guide with giving them the strength and courage to hang on.
Animal Guides are ephemeral, ethereal, and elusive. They are, most often, no more than a warm presence or flicker out of the corner of one's eye. They are incarnate symbols of perseverance, optimism and hope. Foretellers of happiness, and the grand destiny of love.
Except for geese. Geese are assholes.

"How about anything with tsum tsums in it? I love them! Soulmates AU where you are born with your soulmate's tsum? Or tsums are like daemons? The little guys are the ones to fall in love first? Anything goes, really!"
The Asset called the creatures 'Soft Pills', because he had to take pills often enough that he recognized the shape. He knew there was another name for them, something like 'Sum', but no one ever told him.
He liked the soft pills. They were warm and nice to touch and made pleasant noises. He didn't have one of his own, but that was reasonable. He didn't have a soul, so how could he have a Soulmate? The little creatures appeared for humans; not weapons. But sometimes, if he'd done very, very well on a mission, one of his Handlers would let him hold their pill for a little while.

Summary
Prompt fill from imaginetonyandbucky: During Afghanistan, the ten rings got frustrated and sold Tony to hydra for hydra weapons and made him the Iron Soldier. After Steve gets Bucky back from Hydra (idk Cap 3 w/ civil war?) Bucky not only remembers the other winter soldiers, but the soldier he fell in love with (Tony) and basically him and Steve go save him (like when they went to Siberia in the movie but none of the "running from the law" stuff)
So I didn’t follow the prompt exactly because there’s already a great story like this on ITAB already and I wrote something similar to it not too long ago (Making a Hero), so I went in a slightly different direction. Instead of Hydra getting Tony from the 10 Rings, they got their hands on him when they assassinated his parents…
