Summary
Haku balances his ice, his nindo, and their coin purse in the palm of his hand.
It’s rare for the spring sunshine to cleave through the thick fog enveloping the Land of Waves. Around this time of year, the fog gradually parts in response to the season, and Haku wonders if the gods of this land are more merciful than last year.

In which Haku and Zabuza travel to the Land of Waves to restock on medicinal plants before accepting Gato's job. In an untamed meadow hidden from shinobi eyes, Haku and Zabuza find peace under a blue sky.

Summary
During the Second World War, members of the Axis started experimenting on Nation Avatars, marking the worse case of dehumanization the Nations have ever faced. After the war, the Soviet Union decides to continue the research founded by the Axis powers on their newly acquired satellite states. The experiments, as well as other actions taken during the war, drive the Nations to begin to question who they are as people, and whether or not they should blindly trust their governments. Their decisions cause them to go behind their governments' backs to fight for what they think is right, as well as lead to their own self-discoveries. (Historical!Hetalia that takes place during the Cold War. Real life events will be followed. Human and country names used. Many characters will be in the story, but only the most important are tagged.)

He looked up at the stand's lidless, shell-like eyes. It stared back as unimpressed as ever, moving only to rest its chin on the crown of its user's head.
"Stands have names, right?" Jonathan asked, gaze not straying from where it locked with the stand's.
"Yes. Mine is Gold Experience."
"It's awfully fond of you."
Giorno looked up at Gold Experience with an almost sad expression, unchanging even as Gold stared back.
"I'd hope so," is all he said.
