The wares in question make another funny choked sound low in his throat, tucked neatly in Patroclus' lap. He's just about incoherent, what with the miniscule movements Patroclus is grinding into him with, but he manages a gasped out, "Achilles," which Patroclus thinks is as fine a greeting as any. Achilles drops to his knees, looking slightly spellbound. His mouth is hanging open. Patroclus would close it for him, if he were closer.

But the mountains have a way of stretching out time and making space for things that don’t belong, and the more Viktor learns to live, the more he makes Jayce remember what he's spent years trying to forget.

If Viktor were a different person, with better self restraint and less interest in pretty teenage boys, he’d say something else, but what comes out is, “Been thinking about me, have you?”

"Miss me that much?" Vax drawled, dropping into the nearest chair with a theatrical sigh, one leg slung carelessly over the armrest. His dark hair fell across his face in that particular way Percy pretended not to find distracting, though his fingers twitched with the urge to brush it back.
"I was hoping for silence, actually." Percy adjusted his spectacles, a nervous habit that betrayed more than he intended.
"Liar." Vax's smile unfurled slowly, like a cat stretching in a patch of sun.
Vax has been dancing around his feelings for months now. Hells he's probably been in love with Percy since the first night they met. He's just terrible at saying it out loud. Percy meanwhile thinks he's probably about to get dumped.
