Summary
Percy took a deep breath. Great gods of Olympus… Kronos. “No,” he said.
“No?!” Zeus roared, rising to his feet. “You would allow our greatest enemy to destroy Olympus? Need I remind you that you, too, are tethered here, boy?”
“I mean,” Percy glared at the king of the gods, “that I won’t send demigods for this quest. If it’s true - if Kronos is stirring - then this issue is far greater than my children are prepared for. I will not send them to their deaths. I will go myself.”
::
Over a century after his unplanned ascension, Percy Jackson hates godhood just as much as he thought he would. The only thing keeping him going is his devotion to the demigods in his care. So, when Kronos threatens Olympus once again, Percy refuses to make the same mistakes as last time. He’s going to intervene personally and none of his precious demigods are going to die this time.
::
Or, some things are best left to the adults. Especially when the adults in question are immortal and damn near omnipotent.

Summary
Percy can't comprehend it.
He knew something was wrong in his gut after Artemis had taken over from holding the sky from Annabeth. After all the few times he had ended up back on the mountain he had seen no reference or comment about her.
But he had assumed it was Gods being Gods. And that they just didn't care about what happened to a mortal in their care. But he had thought Luke at least cared enough, even if a tiny bit, to make sure she would be okay.
(He wouldn't know about what happened with Chris until after. Or else he might have thought differently.)
Instead she was dead.
OR
Luke's not nearly as careful as he should have been after Annabeth held the sky. Leading to somewhat forseeable consequences that are going to change how things go forever.

Summary
"Ares gets closer to the house and the words start becoming clearer. As he gets closer to the window to see the situation, he checks for any barriers he needs to access to disable. He is used to charging in, it takes everything of him not to, especially in this delicate situation. Ares ensures he is well hidden from view as he peers into the window, to scope the situation out and make a plan to ensure his child is safely in his arms as quickly as possible.
And what he sees inside threatens to snap his self control."

What if Ares protected and loved his daughter? What if Clarisse grew up with this father?
