Regulus Black is tired. Tired enough that, while interviewing for his dream job he apparently told his interviewer all about his fiancé and child (that he doesn't have). Actually, "told" is the wrong term. "Zoned out and nodded along" is a more fair assessment, really. He was snapped into reality when he started asking more specific questions about his partner. Which, always the compulsive liar and star people-pleaser when he panics, Regulus tells him that the kid being his partner's from a previous relationship and oh, now he's screwed.
James Potter has been a single dad since his fiancée broke off their engagement and disappeared. It's been a year and his friends are trying to convince him to put himself back out there, to date, to meet people, to get laid ffs. James just isn't ready to move on. To get them off his back, he convinces his best friend to stage a bunch of Instagram posts where you can't see his face to try to pass him off as his new boyfriend. Suddenly, his friends want to meet this boy he calls his little star. Problem is, Sirius isn't willing to keep up the charade. Now he has to find someone who looks like Sirius and is also crazy enough to agree to fake date him.

At the end of their fifth year, Sebastian is fighting to find a cure for his twin sister Anne's curse. In the heat of a moment, Sebastian casts the killing curse at his own uncle. He was unsuccessful, as even though he sometimes hated his uncle, he couldn't come up with the intent.
With help from Ominis and the new fifth-year Holly, the group was able to bring Solomon back from the brink and obliviate both he and Anne. It was a hard choice, but one that had to be made to keep Sebastian out of Azkaban for attempted murder.
In the following months, Holly and Sebastian learned that it wasn't a goblin who'd cursed Anne, but Viktor Rookwood. With newfound hope, they'd approached the Aurors with what they knew. These Aurors opened an investigation and were able to figure out what curse was used.
Now, during the summer between their fifth and sixth years, Sebastian, Ominis, and Holly were house-sitting while Solomon and Anne were at St. Mungos, where the latter was (finally!) receiving treatment for her curse. From what was written in hers and Solomon's letters, it seemed like she was doing a little better with each passing week.

Summary
When Harry presented as an Omega after the rest of his classmates, it was a surprise. When he went into his first heat, reacting like a bonded Omega, well unfortunately, some omegas had atypical heats. When he made it out of the graveyard, mostly fine minus the expected trauma, it was a bloody miracle.
It was too bad that no one recalled that centuries before Bond Marks were called Soul Marks.
Alternatively, the Locket Horcrux has the perspective Voldemort never did and decides to scrap all of his plans in favor of rebuilding the Wizarding World and putting himself back together as a courting gift to his soulbound omega.
