Taking cautious steps forward into the garage, the sight wasn't instant, she had avoided looking up even at the cop moments prior. It was a few droplets of blood at first, well not necessarily droplets, splatters would be more accurate.
She didn't take long to notice the same faint vulgar smell she had smelled moments prior mixed in with the smell of a rosy perfume, just the same smell she had smelled whilst with her daughter's corpse.
She dreaded seeing its source, already knowing it would be just as bad, if not worse.

“Oh.” Will blinks. “What is?”
Mike’s tongue darts out to wet his lower lip. “O negative.” Will feels a flush move across his entire body. His magic hums inside of him, excited. His fingers twitch against the carton. Maybe Will was wrong, maybe this is different than having a favorite kind of pizza. More personal. O negative sits differently in Will’s head than double black olives with extra cheese does. More intimate.
“Oh.” Will blinks again. And maybe O negative sits differently in Will’s head, because it also flows through his veins. He feels obligated to tell Mike. “I’m O negative.”
Mike’s pupils widen again. “I know.” His voice is low, gravelly.
Will’s breath hitches again. “You know?” He flinches when Mike’s fingers graze his, peeling the carton out of Will’s hand.
Mike takes a deep breath. “I can smell it.”

“Jonathan, it’s Mike,” Will says firmly. “Tell me what Nancy said.”“Okay, I just—I don’t really know how to tell you this.”
“Tell me what?”
Jonathan glances away from the road briefly to look at him. “They think he did it on purpose.”
His body knows before his mind does. The world turns on its axis. He feels like he’s going to be sick. He blinks rapidly, reaching out to grab the dashboard with one hand as he’s overcome with suffocating vertigo.
“Did what on purpose?”
“Jumped,” Jonathan says, careful and quiet. “The doctors think he jumped.”

The epitome of apathy, Craig Tucker has never been anything but nonchalant when it comes to his life and other related catastrophes. As long as he's not missing his favourite tv show or being hassled into another one of his classmates' ill-advised schemes, the boy truly doesn't care. Why should he?
