“Excuse me? Sir?” Wylan spoke softly, but it was somehow enough to gain the man’s attention.
“Well, hello there, gorgeous,” the man said, leaning a hip against the wall they were standing by. Wylan could feel his cheeks reddening at the words, clearing his throat as the man continued. “What can I do for you?”
“Well,” Wylan started, fidgeting a bit with his fingers at his coat hem. His forehead was starting to get warm underneath his blue beanie and the press of his red hair underneath it, the white puffball on the top weighing down on him. “I couldn’t help but overhear you at the counter. I think we’re facing the same problem, you need to be in Ketterdam by tomorrow, yes?”

Summary
Above Wylan’s bony left ankle, metal gleams: a heavy iron manacle, welded to a long chain of links that snake behind him, clattering on the floor as he moves.
Jesper watches it, mouth open as everything he’d assumed shatters and comes back together in a new shape. “You’re a prisoner!” he blurts out.
Wylan twists sharply to look at him, face creased in a familiar aggravated scowl. “Are you an idiot?” he demands. “The locked door wasn’t a clue?”
There are new weapons appearing in the Barrel. Kaz sends Jesper undercover to find out where they’re coming from. Jesper finds something else entirely.

Summary
Jesper waited, holding the bouquet of carnations -purple and white ones, Wylan's favourite- in his hand, fidgeting with his phone, anxious and wondering if Wylan would indeed show up or tell him to meet up the next day.
His phone pinged.- Be there in a sec. -
Jesper blinked at the text, feeling the knot form in his stomach once more. What if it was all going to be terribly awkward? What if Wylan didn't really want to see him? What if their dynamic had completely changed? What if-
"Jes!"
Jesper whirled around to see Wylan exiting the building with the brightest grin on his face and waving like a madman. Jesper grinned, feeling the nerves dissolve into nothing because Wylan was here, and he loved Wylan and he would get to hold him again.
