Summary
Lieutenant Melisande Esra is second in command of the Ferelden Royal Guard for King Cailan Theirin. With the Captain pulled away to Redcliffe to discuss important matters with its Arl, she's left in command to try and protect the King from others and perhaps even himself in the battle to come. Still, everything seems to be shaping up and they had already secured several victories. Perhaps there isn't as much to worry about as the dour Wardens suggest. Cailan seems confident at least.

Summary
Following the loss of his Macen, Avitus Rix is convinced to take up the role of Pathfinder by the human Sara Ryder, a task he attempts to do alone initially after years of experience working alone as a Spectre until he realizes just how much effort it is going to take to save the Turians. The first order of business is to find all of the missing pods and account for living and dead, as well as to discover new potential planets to build colonies so that they can recover all of the pods from the salvageable Ark Natanus. It'll be a piece of cake... once several new friends force him to accept help at least in his work.

The suicide mission was a success. Not even just that... everyone somehow came back alive. And they've finally told Cerberus to fuck off. The crew is elated but Garrus can't focus on it. Shepard seems to be the only person who hasn't caught on that they've won. The more she paces, the deeper the creases of her worry mark her face, the more certain Garrus feels that he needs to protect her from herself this time. He'll get her mind to stop circling if it takes all night. He'll get a damn smile.
