Being invisible isn't nearly as cool as people say.
No one can see you or hear you. And you can't interact with anything. You don't get hungry but you still get tired and need to rest. And heavens above if someone you're following gains a mode of transportation. Even if you do get lucky and seem to manifest just long enough to board, the motion sickness still affects you. Which is just bullshit in Laxus’ opinion.
The only cool part of being invisible and people can't get mad at you. You can't say the wrong thing or not say anything at all and see the disappointment build.
You can also complain all you want, make any comment in the world and there's no one to hear you.
