His mouth is downturned, and even through his blindfold it's glaringly obvious that he's frowning. He looks like he wants to say something meaningful, something big, yet he asks exactly what Yuuji thought he'd ask:

Summary
The sun streaming through his blinds the next morning sends knives into Jean’s skull. Dear god, what is in those coolers that Connie kept handing to him? This is a hangover to end all hangovers.
Jean rolls over and grabs his water bottle off of his bedside table. He props himself up on an elbow and gulps from the bottle. It tastes like the nectar of the gods. A drop of water streams from the bottle and down his neck. Jean doesn’t move to wipe it off. It feels refreshing.
His relief stops a moment later when his legs disappear and he grows a tail.
Or: H2O: Just Add Water but with Jean, Sasha, and Connie as the merfolk. Reiner is a crunchy ecodaddy, Jean is a punk, Sasha and Connie are along for the ride.

“Aki?” Denji called, fear in his voice, and Power turned to him.
Aki still stood there, but his body was— that of a Blood Fiend’s. It was Power’s. His irises had turned into black-and-blue crosshairs, and twin red horns peeked through black hair. He dropped to his knees, gaze listless, katana falling from his grip as his mouth went slack with naked fear.
