Summary
After five long years locked away from society, Himiko Toga has been released from prison and out into the world as a shell of the girl she once was, and Pro Hero Uravity has been made to watch over her. Ochako is excited by the prospect of living with the girl the loves, but more than anything, she just wants to see her smile again, and she's determined to do everything she can to make it happen while keeping her own feelings in check for Himiko's sake.
It hurts, but if she gets to see Himiko's smile again, she's sure it'll all be worth it in the end.

“I didn’t want to lie to you,” she said softly, coming closer. She either ignored or didn’t notice the way Ochako tensed on instinct. “I didn’t think you’d believe me, and I knew it’d probably be… a bit of a shock if your girlfriend suddenly-” she gestured loosely at herself with a hand that—were those claws?—but Ochako was suddenly not that focused on the fact that Himiko was in fact an ancient Greek monster/deity/death spirit. She was more caught up on the Himiko was her girlfriend?

"…You're alive."
Toga’s voice comes out, foreign in her own ears. Ochako offers a soft, genuine smile.
"I am. The blood you gave me… It was enough to keep me going while the paramedics arrived. Honestly, I fell unconscious the moment they started treating you, too. I woke up yesterday. I have been… Waiting for you to wake up."
"What happened?" Toga’s asking about the war. How did it end?
"Oh… I don't know the extent of it, really," Ochako’s voice is tinged with sadness. "I've spent the last few days here, recovering, waking up, and then… Watching over you. But I know that… The war is over."—
OR, after the war, Toga finds herself in the aftermath of a world she didn't think she'd be a part of. Not quite a villain anymore and definitely not a hero, she will struggle to find her new place in the world. Ochako takes her under her protection and soon their tentative connection gives way to a steadfast friendship, and a blooming love amongst the aftermath of the war.
