The sudden slap to his cheek shut him up. Dick felt the countertop digging into his back as his father grasped his chin tightly. Dick swallowed the lump in his throat as Bruce gently pressed a quick kiss to his forehead before adding, “Now, son, you know better. I paid for this house. Your siblings are in my custody. You are here because I allow you to stay here. I allow you to look after my other children because I have far too much to worry about than eight children and two grown adults. I have generously allowed you all to live like this. And now, it’s time to repay my generosity. Tomorrow.”

Buck froze, fear pounding in his heart. What if they called Athena just to make her listen to Buck die? He couldn’t do that to his mom. He would rather the robbers just shoot him where he stood than put his mother through any trauma again.
“Here’s what’s gonna happen,” the man whispered into Buck’s ear. “You’re gonna tell me her number now, or Tony is going to blow your boyfriend’s brains out. I’d really hate for us to have to decorate this lovely diner with his blood.”
Buck swallowed roughly. He should have kissed Eddie outside of the diner.

Kyle would rather not work with the Titans again, not after what happened, but he’s so tired of being alone. What the worse that could happen from one case?

The Titans try moving on after tragedy and show the League that they aren’t the same kid heroes they were when they started, and Kyle tries to find his place on Earth amongst heroes after the Sinestro Corps War. He’s not the only Green Lantern anymore.
