Summary
The plan boils down to three basic steps:
1. Raise demon-slaying spirit (nobody tell Bobby).
2. Sic it on Yellow Eyes to save their possessed dad.
3. Cross their fingers and pray that Sam's translation was accurate, and the demon-slaying spirit will leave them alone to go kill more demons.(Spoiler alert: Number three doesn't work out so well.)

Summary
Dean should be scared. The being in front of him was terrifying by all means and yet for some reason, as he stared into the creature’s eyes, Dean felt a warm sense of comfort wash over him. Because those dazzling, glowing blue eyes were so familiar, the pain in its eyes mirrored with Dean’s. Which is why, when it reached out one long, dripping black hand out to him, Dean reached out, too.
Dean didn’t know if it could talk. It didn’t need to, anyway. Dean knew what it was asking, and he answered the silent request without a second thought.
“Yes.”

Faced with death, Dean makes one last ditch effort: praying to an Angel he knows wont hear him. Deans prayers are answered when a vessel-less Castiel forces himself out from the Empty, taking possession of Dean's body in order to heal him.
Castiel's grace is running finite however, charged down after saving Dean's life. Now Castiel resides within Dean's mind, too weak to survive a transfer to another vessel, leading them to a desperate search for a way to rebuild his body. Summary
The thing is – Dean’s always had a thing for babes in glasses. He’s also pretty much always had a thing for Cas. These thoughts were, up until this moment, distinct, separate, night and day, Roxy and Jane, never to meet. An angel of the lord surely could have no reason to need glasses.
But Cas is less angel and more human these days. He’s got salt and pepper in his hair and crows’ feet tugging at his baby blues and blood in his veins that's about fifty percent black coffee. He bruises and shits and snores and it’s good. Hell, it’s great. Except for the part where he apparently spends too many hours watching Real Housewives reruns in the dark and has resultantly rotted his corneas away to the point where he had to go and say “Sam? Is that you?” which led to the thick-lensed frames on his face which led to Dean’s current mental emergency. Or something.

Summary
During a hunt, Castiel becomes invisible to the Winchesters thanks to a teenage warlock who thinks he's giving Castiel a gift. Sam is pragmatic about it, but Dean is...unsettled that he can't see him. To help, Cas agrees to keep Dean apprised of his whereabouts by touching him. All the touching and the mysterious puzzle that Dean has to solve in order to break the spell work to break down Dean's defenses about his feelings for Cas. But in order to break the spell completely, Dean and Castiel both need to see and say some things they haven't before.
