Celeborn hopes for a union between their daughter and the new Lord of Imladris – the youth they'd met so long ago and welcomed under their own protection – but Galadriel cannot imagine anything more terrible, can't even bring herself to speculate upon it.
A thousand times they have been here, on this same cliff, and never once jumped, no matter how strong the call of the sea.
Now, the water is closer than it has ever been and it is deafening.

Summary
Sequel to Fiercer than Fire.
After the Reclaiming of Erebor, life was supposed to settle down. Things were supposed to be simpler once there weren't people trying to kill them and things trying to eat them and so on and so forth. Things didn't get any simpler, but after the whole Tauriel incident, and after Dain got the snot beat out of him, things seemed to settle a bit.
Billa should have known it wouldn't last.
This story is now COMPLETE.
