She had faked her death to to protect herself, she had revealed her survival to save Aemon and now she would return to the Red Keep not for Aemon, not for her parents, not even for Baelon but for the children. She would protect her nephews, her little sister, her niece and her daughter. She would ensure that Aemma would not meet her mother's fate not if she had anything to say about it. She did not care who she had to harm only that her family remained safe.

She had to face her brother sooner or later and it seemed that time was now. As she came closer to her brother, she noticed a Myrish scout with a crossbow aiming for the Evenstar, her brother Aemon was in danger. Before she even registered it, she was yelling “Rōva lēkia, Aelyx, Lord Cameron duck!” They ducked and the scout, quickly noticed by other was disarmed and captured.
Aemon now back on his feet quickly turned to her, his face full of disbelief but he had no doubt it was her. When she was little, she had apparently refused to call him Aemon but instead called him Aelyx for their ancestor, it had stuck and through the years she would jokingly call him Aelyx and he would roll his eyes and laugh. “Vissie?” he murmured
Or Viserra is successful in seducing Baelon however the King and Queen just move up her marriage to Lord Theomore so instead she fakes her death, and seeks sanctuary in Tarth where she has Baelon's bastard daughters and she also saves Aemon

Alyssa looked to her brother Aemon and her husband Baelon both with varying looks of disgust and shock across her face. The match was illogical. “Why?” she asked.
“Lord Theomore is a good man and an old friend.” Queen Alysanne said, “It shall bring the North closer to the throne.”
“He is a man four times widowed, your grace” Alyssa argued.
“He has a dozen children; your grandchildren would inherit nothing” Baelon murmured in agreement “His great grandson is older than Viserra.”
Or Alyssa Targaryen Lives and intervened on Viserra's behalf when it came to the Manderly betrothal.
