Summary
What would you do if you woke up in a body that wasn't yours, in a world that you weren't a part of, in a story that you didn't belong to?
Uzi had no idea how it happened. Her memories leading up to the last few hours of her life — her normal life — were coming back blank, but she was pretty sure she didn't go to bed a human. As if that wasn't weird enough, Uzi quickly realized that she wasn't alone in this world. Her friends, people she swears she knows, started showing up, living their lives like nothing happened. Worst of all? She is nothing more than a stranger to them.
Well, all of them but one, who frustratingly seems to know more than she lets on.

After a near death experience, and a chance encounter, V meets a strange worker drone, unlike any she'd met before. In a moment of hesitance, she rejects her instinct, and spares the drone's life. As it turned out, the consequences of her choice were far greater than she could have ever expected, and V finds herself doing the one thing she'd promised she would never do again...

Summary
It's been five years since the entirety of North America has fallen to a mysterious illness - a virus, some might say. Husks of people are all that remain, millions upon millions upon millions of them shuffling across a ruined civilization. It's usually debated whether or not there are humans even alive anymore, but one thing's for certain:
Uzi's been having a *blast*.
Sure, it's not the most elegant life, but it beats being another slave for JCJenson. Other drones like her are scattered throughout downtown Copper City, either flying solo like herself or having a tightly-knit community. Better to go alone, in her opinion; larger groups just create problems, upon problems, upon problems...
Admittedly though, it's been a while since Uzi's came into contact with another sentient being, and MAYBE she's missed having someone to talk to. MAYBE the desperation has got to her and MAAAAAYBE she's in the process of repairing a mysterious drone model that she's never seen before, but is 100% confident that its sole purpose was to kill drones like her for reasons unknown.
MAYBE... she'd show it some nightcore later on?

Summary
No sooner than Uzi had found the right energy pack for her rifle, one of the Murder Drones had arrived. Ducking behind a car, she used a shard of broken mirror to keep an eye on the Drone from safety, only to realize that it knew she was there. A crazed cackling filled the air as it leapt at her, knocking the rifle out of her hand and pushing Uzi back. A brief struggle later and Uzi held her rifle pointed at the short bobbed haired head of the drone and pulled the trigger, obliterating it. However moments later it started to reconstitute itself, and with her rifle recharging, Uzi looked around in desperation for something to use as a weapon...
