Sweet, steel-eyed Earwen with rosy lips and cheeks, calloused hands, star-lit hair, pure white feather dresses like the swans that the Teleri were all so fond of. After Alqualonde, she never wore those dresses ever again. Earwen and Eonwe were beautiful in their own right but together–
Arafinwe had told himself often enough that he ought to be grateful for what he still had left. It didn't help that Eonwe possessed the beauty that was the natural world. Ainur were always beautiful, it was the nature of the world of course. Beautiful things were good, ugly things were bad. And Eonwe was of great heart, of great beauty, with wings that were like glass directly under a ray of sunlight after a heavy storm– illuminating, untouchable, irreplicable.
It was no secret that the House of Finwe had a taste, an unfortunate, destructive taste, for pretty things.

___________________________The rest of the Great Hall was the solemn aftermath of a massacre.
Bodies twisted and piled onto one another, the absence of life rendering them all equal for once. Tables overturned and broken, tapestries ripped and shredded. Tiny hands grasped on swords, shattered potion vials glittered and reflected the drying blood and dying light. There was not a single part of the floor which had not tasted fresh blood.

“You too, huh?” Voltehre says as he leans against the wall next to Coën.
“What?” Coën asks, confused.
“Lambert,” Voltehre answers quietly and nods towards the grinning Wolf currently sparring with Aiden.
“What about Lambert?” Coën mumbles and quickly looks away from the fight taking place in the courtyard.
“There's no need to be coy,” Voltehre chuckles weakly, “Saw that expression of yours on my face enough times to know what it means.”
Coën and Voltehre both share some unrequited feelings for Lambert. They bond and form a relationship over it.
