“You know what? ƒμ©* it.” With a huff, Zooble yanked at the tablet in Ragatha’s hands, hard. Pomni caught how the little seams fixing Ragatha’s arms to her shoulders flexed, threatening to give way. She had to let go before Zooble ripped her forearms clean off. Zooble swiped through the tablet almost angrily as they muttered, “I don’t even know what you’re so pressed about. It’s not like your derby rider was that pretentious about – ”
Zooble cut themself off and went very, very silent.
Pomni’s mouth went dry. Dryer than it’d been even after a stress of time without real water. She watched, scared for a reason she couldn’t place, as both of Zooble’s detachable eyes widened. She could have sworn that their hot pink face turned almost salmon for a quick second before returning to its original shade. They set down the tablet and turned.
“Ragatha,” they said slowly, “why does the catalogue of NPCs include a mock-up of Jax?”

“I think you should just add a conclusion. This seems fine to me,” Thor lifts up the last paper and finds that there’s even more writing on the back, which progressively gets smaller as he runs out of room. The end is a blur. That’s probably where he had fallen asleep.
‘No, it’s not,” Loki snaps, and takes the papers from Thor’s hand. He picks up the quill left on the desk, and mutters under his breath, scratching off one of the lines.
“You need a break,” Thor informs him.
“No, I need to finish it. There isn’t anything in here about the proper way to greet a noblewoman of the Vanir in an Alvish ceremony. It’s all wrong—“
“Loki.” Thor frowns at him. Loki’s hair is still a mess, and one of his legs is bouncing slightly. He has deep bags under both his eyes. “You need a break.”

Only a few months after his little incident with General Ross, Bruce had stumbled across a few soldiers harassing a young boy, about the age of thirteen. He heard words like 'asset' and 'testing' which triggered his anger. He had a little history with such words. Next thing he knew, he was standing amongst limp bodies and broken weapons. And the boy huddled in the corner.
But Bruce noticed something different about him. Even while fearful, the boy looked at him with intrigue, like he was more interesting than frightening.

“Iron Man,” Loki stated—questioned, more like, by the tone—turning around to face him, although his gaze was oddly a few degrees off of Tony, his hands raised in a defensive gesture. “Anthony Stark,” he stated, and this time Tony noticed that his voice sounded suspiciously more like a dry rasp, as if he hadn’t used it in months.
Except for screaming, probably, that is, the part of his brain still recovering from The Cave supplied merrily.
“In the flesh,” Tony replied, trying to keep himself unfazed. The whole starved look was probably an illusion anyway, he told himself.
Tony was pretty sure he heard Loki mutter a resigned “So this is how I die, then,” to himself.All right, this was giving off some solid horrible vibes, and not in the A Feral Demigod of Evil and Trickery is Going To Kill Me sense, either.

He knows so much about Loki and so little at the same time, the important things tucked away where the only person who will find them is himself. “You… What do you like to do? For fun?”
He can’t see Loki’s judgemental expression, but he feels it all the same. “Fun?”"
AKA: After nearly getting killed while trying to get supplies for the Statesmen, Loki and Bruce are stuck together, injured and half delirious.

Thor watched as Thanos's merciless grip around his brother's throat tightened, the life draining from Loki's eyes as the mad Titan crushed his neck; pierced his best friend’s heart, slaughtered his people and took away the only family he still had left. He watched as the flames consumed his home, reducing everything he cherished to ashes, while the Grandmaster’s ship crumbled into oblivion.
He begged the Norns for a second chance as he clung onto his once-again-brother’s cold dead body, his cries for mercy swallowed by the inferno.
He wished, and when he opened his eyes back in his room in his long-destroyed home-land, six months after Loki’s fall into the void; he knew he had to change everything. He was given a second chance, and he wouldn’t live to regret it this time.
