Tim never really understood emotions, so it was no surprise that he noticed the difference between how he acted towards others and how they acted towards him so late. When he realised that he would die for his family and they wouldn’t even invite him to dinner or asked how he was doing, he didn’t feel bad when he left it all behind, he felt at peace actually.
Or: Tim leaves Gotham to travel and doesn’t tell anyone, they didnt notice and he never looked back. He marries a sweet Russian man with four kids and works as a doctor.
