Summary
Supergirl stared at her peculiarly, arms crossed. The hairs on the back of Lena’s neck rose, and she wasn’t quite sure why. Supergirl seemed to be studying her, and it was disconcerting.
After a few moments, Supergirl stepped forward. “Why does she like you so much?”
Lena blinked back in surprise. “Who?”
“Kara Danvers.”
For a moment, Lena didn’t know what to say, before shaking her head. “Why don’t you ask her yourself? You’re her friend, not mine.”

Summary
Lena, having heard the taps of Kara’s landing, turned around from her place on the kitchen island. She nodded in greeting, grabbing her glass - a whiskey, maybe a scotch - and walked towards the balcony. Kara tilted her head… the Luthor’s heartbeat was unusually fast.
Lena gave a slightly guarded, wary smile, as she stepped out on the balcony. “Hello, Supergirl.”
Kara smiled warmly, toning down her usually-formal way of interacting with Lena as Supergirl, in favor of trying to make the clearly nervous woman more comfortable. “Miss Luthor. Kara Danvers said you wanted to speak with me?”
“Yes. I’m… afraid this won’t be a pleasant conversation.”
“Is something wrong?” Kara said, taking a step closer. But she paused, noticing Lena flinch in response.

Summary
Lex Luthor, On Cusp Of Nobel Prize, Dies At 44
Kara swallowed nervously as she reread the paper’s headline, glancing up at the chaos ensuing around Catco. The headline was the least of her worries - more of a relief than anything, if she were honest - but the new world was bizarre.
Lex was going to receive the Nobel?, Kara thought, glancing to her right as Nia blew her nose into a tissue, trying to clear the tears streaming down her eyes. What on Earth is going on with everyone?

Summary
Kara opened her arms, allowing Lena to scoot into them, the two forgoing any sense of separation as they let the quiet of night envelop them. “They never found her Claddagh ring,” Lena whispered.
Kara tilted her head down, nuzzling into Lena’s hair. “Your mother had a Claddagh ring?” Kara asked.
She knew of the tradition - an Irish ring, with three symbols. The band had two hands to symbolize friendship, holding a heart to symbolize love, topped with a crown to symbolize loyalty. The rings tended to be simple, but warm, indicating engagement and marriage depending on how it was worn.
“It was given to her by her grandmother,” Lena murmured tiredly. “She lost it when we were playing in the water. Not long before…”
---
An Irish family heirloom is long lost. But maybe Kara can change that.

Summary
Lena’s eyes fell to Kara’s lips, losing the war within her to fight this. Kara wants this. Kara wants this! Lena glanced up again, taking in Kara’s vulnerable and hopeful smile, knowing that the kryptonian could hear the newfound pounding of her heart.
Kara breathed again. “And sometimes, I think you might want me too.”
“Kara…” Lena whispered, unmoving.
“Can I kiss you, Lena?” Kara asks, the gentle blues of her eyes piercing into Lena’s.
But that’s when Lena saw it. The flicker in Kara’s veins.
