Summary
Severus Snape hits what has to be rock bottom; he's a Death Eater even though he doesn't really agree with Voldemort, the Lily he loved and who seemed to love him never forgave him for that word, he never got over what Potter did to him, his friend Narcissa isn't talking to him because of the fall out of the mess he ended up in with her husband, and his best friend Regulus Black is missing and, he presumes, dead. It's all made worse because Voldemort has taken to treating his followers like his own private harem- Reg was the man's last favourite, which he can't believe has nothing to do with the man's fate, and now Voldemort's interest is turning to him.
In desperation he turns to a man he's long thought of as an enemy, but instead of an audience with Dumbledore he gets an ear full of prophecy, prophecy that sounds like a solution to his most pressing problems-- only he's not the only one who was there that night, and even if in this world he swore to keep it to himself, somehow it ends up in Voldemort's ear anyway. What's a man to do but what he can to keep the one he still cares for safe? Even if that does end up with him virtually collapsing on Potter's doorstep.

Author I know you can read bookmark notes and I must tell you, I love your take on the Marauders, and I don't like the Marauders at all.
Also Lily is a nasty work of art, I love it.I hope Snape gets all the hugs, he deserves them.

"...there are sporadic reports of Hogwarts Sanctuary within medical records - often associated with major conflicts of the Goblin Wars and Wars of the Roses, though the associations with mundane conflicts naturally decreased significantly after the signing of the International Statue of Secrecy in 1689. Symptoms describe what the modern physician would recognise as varying nervous disorders, including mania, psychosis and idiocy. There are also a number records of psychosis from spell damage and improper use of the magical mind arts - each of which cross-references a Wizengamot session..."
