Shokichi leaves the bedroom door open slightly when he finally steps out, shuffling hurriedly in his socks towards the genkan where he takes the time to put out a pair of guest slippers for whoever this is. Finally, he reaches for the door and pulls it open.
Almost jumps back when a bouquet of yellow, orange and light pink flowers is thrusted towards him, as if with the intention to pierce his nose with the colorful spears. Shokichi jumps back in surprise when his well-meaning visitor declares, roaring, “I came as soon as I heard!”
